ISLAMABAD: Hafeezullah Niazi, the father of Hassaan Khan Niazi, PTI leader and party Chairman Imran Khan’s nephew, on Monday filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC), seeking the court’s declaration that the arrest and trial of his son by a military court was ‘unconstitutional’. Arguing that there was no provision in the constitution for the trial of civilians in military courts and that it contravened Article 10-A of the constitution, Hafeezullah, in his petition, also requested the court to declare the Army Act and Official Secrets Act ‘unconstitutional’.
