ISLAMABAD
Accountability Court (AC) Islamabad while ending proclaimed offender status of Hussain and Hassan Nawaz sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in three references of Avenfield, Alazizia and flag ship has cancelled their arrest warrants and approved their bail against surety bonds in the sum of Rs 50000.
Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz who had absconded in these references appeared in the court Thursday and surrendered them before judge Nasir Javed Rana of the court.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana said court has given relief to Hassan and Hussain Nawaz till today. They should surrender them before the court.
On resumption of hearing Hassan and Hussain Nawaz appeared in the court along with their lawyer Qazi Misbah.
Qazi Misbah said during ;previous hearing request was made to cancel permanent arrest warrants.
Judge Nasir Javed inquired how many cases are.
Qazi Misbah said there are three references and we have filed petition in all the three cases. Two decisions regarding acquittal in two among three references have come from high court. In one case AC No 2 had given the decision of acquittal.
NAB challenged acquittal decision and later withdrew the appeal. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt Safdar have been acquitted in Even field reference. Islamabad high court had acquitted her father in Alazizia reference. Trial court had acquitted Nawaz Sharif in flagship.
Counsel Qazi Misbah said his client be given exemption regarding Friday hearing.
The court while cancelling arrest warrants of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz approved bail against surety bonds worth Rs 50000.
Hassan and Hussain Nawaz also filed exemption plea for today (Friday).
The court adjourned the hearing till Friday.
The court also ended status of proclaimed offender of Hassan and Hussain Nawaz in Panama references.
