Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted the application filed to take back the writ petition, which had been filed years back to get Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, who is currently the country’s prime minister. When a two-member bench of the IHC, comprising Chief Justice AtharMinallah and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir, began hearing of the case on Tuesday morning, Abdul WahabBaloch’s, the petitioner, lawyers told them that their client wanted to withdraw the petition. The court asked the petitioner’s lawyer, “Do you want to dithdraw the petition?” The petitioner’s lawyer confirmed that he wanted to take back the petition, court accepted the plea and dismissed the petition on the ground of withdrawal.
