ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of acres of agricultural land were inundated after a 20-feet wide breach developed in a canal in Mian Jo Goth near Abdul Sheikh area of Shikarpur on Sunday. According to details, water entered houses in the villages Mir Mohammad, Abdul Nahar Koharo and Din Mohammad Napar due to the breach. To make matters worse, the Sindh Department of Irrigation failed to take any action despite receiving a complaint, leaving the locals to try to plug the breach on their own. Online
