IG, DC Islamabad transfer becomes challenge for ECP

Inspector General (IG) Islamabad and Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad has become a test case for Election Commission of Pakistan.
On August 17, a letter was sent to the Establishment Division regarding the change of both officers, but it could not be implemented.
ECP summoned Secretary Establishment on the matter on Tuesday.
In the letter written by the Secretary Election Commission to the Secretary Establishment Division, it is said that regarding the change of Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and IG Islamabad on August 17, the Election Commission has given the powers to the federal government in the constitution.
The letter has been implemented yet.
It has been said in the letter that a report should be sent to the Commission immediately on this matter and appear before the Election Commission on December 26 to explain why these two officers have not been replaced so far.
