IG-KP vows to dismantle terrorist networks using all available resources

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed on Tuesday said that investigation into the suicide attack on Maulana Hamidul Haq Haqqani was underway and assured that all available resources will be utilized to dismantle the terrorist networks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that facilitators involved in the suicide attack on the seminary in Nowshera would be brought to justice.
During his visit to Akora Khattak, Nowshera, the IGP expressed deep sorrow over Maulana Hamidul Haq’s martyrdom in the tragic incident that occurred at the gate of the Jamia Masjid of Darul Uloom Haqqania on Friday.
He met with the bereaved family, offering condolences and heartfelt sympathies, and prayed for the martyr’s high rank.
IGP-KP assured them that the perpetrators behind this heinous crime would be traced and brought to justice swiftly.
Zulfiqar Hameed emphasized that the police stand in solidarity with the grieving family and are committed to ensuring justice.
Paying tribute to the late Maulana’s religious contributions, the IGP acknowledged his lifelong dedication to Islamic education. He reaffirmed that the protection of all madrasas, mosques, and religious scholars—regardless of sectarian affiliations—was a top priority for the police and will be ensured at all costs.
He stated that terrorists have no religion and seek only to create chaos, but the police are resolute in confronting this challenge.
The bereaved family expressed their full confidence in the police and pledged their cooperation in efforts to maintain peace and brotherhood in society.
