IGP Rizvi inspects Safe City expansion, pushes smarter tech-driven security monitoring

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Tuesday visited Safe City Islamabad to review ongoing construction work and operations of its various sections, directing officers to further strengthen security monitoring through the effective use of modern technology.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP that the IGP Rizvi conducted a detailed inspection of the construction work underway at the Safe City facility and reviewed the functioning of different sections.
During the visit, Rizvi examined the technological infrastructure and security monitoring mechanisms being used to support policing across the federal capital.
He directed the officers concerned to ensure optimum use of modern technology to make surveillance and security monitoring more effective and responsive.
The IGP Rizvi stressed that technological advancement should be effectively integrated into policing to strengthen monitoring capabilities and further improve the overall security framework in Islamabad.
He also issued necessary directions regarding the ongoing construction and operational matters to ensure continued improvement in the Safe City system
