ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has acquitted two persons Baitullah and Siddique Gill convicted in SSG commando Major Laraib murder case. A two members bench of IHC comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Arbab Tahir read out the short order. The court had reserved judgment on October 5 regarding appeal pleas after hearing the arguments. The court had raised questions of serious nature on the investigation of Major Laraib murder case. The convict Baitullah was awarded death sentence and Gul Siddique was awarded life imprisonment. Sessions court Islamabad had announced the judgment on December 15, 2020. ONLINE
