Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued a detailed decision on the request to remove the name of former federal minister Dr. Shireen Mazari from Passport Control List (PCL).
The name of Dr. Shireen Mazari was ordered to be remove the name from passport control list.
When the record was requested from the investigating officer, it could not be produced.
The Additional Attorney General failed to give any answer to the court’s question, the ongoing decision on the request of Faisal Maqbool Sheikh of 20 July 2023 is also of the same nature, the decision of Faisal Maqbool Sheikh case has not been challenged anywhere, this decision has become final.
The public prosecutor told the court that Dr. Shireen Mazari took bail according to the law after his arrest, Dr. Shireen Mazari got bail in five cases out of seven, and was discharged in 2 cases.
Petitioner Dr. Shereen Mazari is not absconding or accused in any case, DG Passport and Immigration should remove name from PCL within a week and submit report, petitioner’s name was not informed before inclusion in passport control list. A show-cause notice was also not issued before the names were entered in the PCL, a move which shows malice on the part of the parties.
