IHC orders for removing name of citizen from PCL in Jinnah House case

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered for removing name of citizen Zaka ud Din Diwan from Passport Control List (PCL) in Jinnah House case. Justice Azam Khan of LHC issued written order in the matter of placing the accused in PCL in Jinnah House case despite having been declared innocent.
The court said according to Punjab government letter of December, 2023 name of petitioner was placed in PCL in January 2024. According to Lahore ATC order the citizen withdrew the bail before arrest plea on August 5, 2024.
The decision said that as per counsel of the citizen investigation officer declared the petitioner innocent after investigation.
Assistant Attorney General (AAG) took the plea the case does not fall in the jurisdiction powers of the court.
As per AAG there are two more cases against the petitioner. This matter relates to Lahore High court and does not fall in jurisdiction powers of IHC.
The court remarked Islamabad Directorate of Immigration and Passport has put the name in PCL. Therefore, it falls in the jurisdiction powers of court.
Nothing has been presented in the record that name has been placed in PCL with the approval of federal government. Placing name of the petitioner in PCL without process is violation of law and basic rights. The court orders to remove name of citizen from PCL.
