IHC orders recovery of Sajid Gondal by Monday

Islamabad : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the recovery of missing SECP Officer Sajid Gondal by Monday.

The court remarked if Sajid Gondal is not recovered by 2 pm on Monday then interior secretary should appear before the court in person.

The court observed the chief commissioner should also appear in the court too if the missing person is not recovered.

The petition for the disappearance of Sajid Gondal was heard by the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah.

The mother and wife of Sajid Gondal appeared before the Chief Justice of the IHC.

The mother of Sajid Gondal told the court that her son was abducted from Park Road after which the kidnappers left the vehicle therein and my son had no enmity with anyone.

Upon it CJ Athar Minallah in his remarks said that abducting a citizen this way from Islamabad is worrisome.

The court directed that if Sajid Gondal is not recovered, the matter should be taken up in the next meeting of the cabinet. A copy of the order has also been directed to be sent to the Secretary Division.

It may be recalled that SECP Officer Sajid Gondal went missing on Thursday and the mother of sajid Gondal had filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court on Friday in the case of alleged abduction of Sajid Gondal, Joint Director, Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
