Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected former speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser plea for dismissing the case of violation of section 144, use of loudspeaker and protest against him.
The case came up for hearing before single bench of IHC led by Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri here Monday.
The court remarked during the hearing of the case the challan has been filed and the matter is in trial court. The plea seeking dismissal of case is rejected.
Sher Afzal Murawwat, counsel for Asad Qaiser appeared in the court and read out FIR to the court.
The counsel for Asad Qaiser told the court Asad Qaiser was not present on the occasion and his name was placed in FIR.

State counsel told the court protest was staged in connection with release of Shahbaz Gill. The case related to intimidation, threatening and violation of section 144 is registered. Slogans were chanted that “ set free Shahbaz Gill.
The court rejected Asad Qaiser plea for dismissing the case.
