IHC wraps up PTI petition on allowing PTI by district administration to hold public meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has wrapped up PTI leader Aamir Masood Mughal petition on allowing PTI by district administration to hold public meeting in Islamabad and issuance of NOC.
On the complaint by PTI counsel for not giving time for arrangement of public meeting Justice Babar Sattar remarked “ You are big party. You will bring out people from their homes within a few hours. You say what. Deputy commissioner should now bring out people from their homes.
He gave these remarks during the hearing of the case on Thursday.
During the hearing the state counsel informed the court permission has been given to PTI to hold public meeting near Tarnol Chowk on July 6.
Shoaib Shaheen counsel said the petitioner met deputy commissioner on June 26 under the orders of court. Deputy Commissioner (DC) was asked to issue NOC. DC was contacted 20 times from June 26 to yesterday.
Justice Babar Sattar inquired from counsel for PTI district administration has given you permission to hold meeting.
The counsel replied we have not been given NOC. On the other hand we have informed the court one day earlier today. We were not given time for making preparations for public meeting.
Later the court wrapped up petition on issuance of NOC.
It may be mentioned that PTI leader Umar Ayoub had said a day before they will hold historical public meeting in Islamabad on July 6.
He said in his statement on social media website X we are going to hold a big public meeting in Islamabad on July 06. The public meeting will be for release of Imran Khan and against the inflation. The public meeting will take place on the platform of Tehreek-e-Tahaffaz-e-Pakistan on July 6 in Islamabad.
