Slams PML-N for not coping with terrorism, sinking economy
LAHORE
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that apart from running the economy to the ground, this imported government has failed to deal with the 50 percent increase in terrorism in Pakistan with incidents from Chaman to Swat to Lakki Marwat to Bannu as well as attacks from the Pak-Afghan border by security forces of a ‘friendly’ Afghan government.
In a tweet on Monday, he said: “While our soldiers, police and local people are giving daily sacrifices with their lives, the worst part is that this increasing terrorist threat and attacks from across our western border are finding no space in the discourse of this government of a cabal of crooks.”
Lashing out at the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) led government said that they have failed to stabilize the economy and control terrorism, elections are the only way to stabilize the destructed economy by political strength.
Imran Khan said “Other than destroying the economy, the imported government has failed to control terrorism, as it has risen to 50 per cent with incidents from Chaman to Swat, to Lakki Marwat to Bannu. They have failed to handle the attacks from the Pak-Afghan border as well.”
He further said that our soldiers, police, and locals are losing their lives every day, he added that this government is only interested in NRO-2, which is why they are not mentioning the increasing risk of terrorism and attacks from western borders.
The former PM also said, “Even though the economy has been destroyed, they are still afraid of holding elections, elections are the only way to stabilize the destructed economy by using political strength.”
