Senior parliamentarians of PTI have met chairman Imran Khan and they have exchanged views with the latter on political scenario of the country and matters of mutual interest.
Those who met Imran included Nasrullah Dreshak, Sana Ullah Masti Khel,Khawaja Sheraz, Syed Fakhar Imam, Riaz Fatiana and Niaz Jhakkar.
Malik Amir Dogar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi,, Talib Hussain Nakai, Tahir Iqbal, Ehsan Tiwana , Maj (Retd) Tahir Sadiq, Sahibzada Amir Sultan, Shaukat Bhatti, Dr Haider Ali , Junaid Akbar and Umar Ayyub were also present on the occasion.
They congratulated Imran Khan on holding historical and mammoth public meeting in Peshawar.
They expressed grave concern over government bids to drift the country into crisis by postponing the election.
They demanded that the election should be held without any delay for the sake of political stability in the country.
Imran Khan said that people of Pakistan has considered the change of regime through local puppets at behest of US as their insult. The bid to dominate Pakistan through no confidence motion has triggered resentment among the people of Pakistan.
He went on to say the nation has stood up against imperialists and traitors. The people should be given opportunity to decide about their future through fair and transparent elections.
He asked the senior parliamentarians of the party to make preparations for the election.
PTI moves SC for life time disqualification of its dissident members
PTI has resorted to Supreme Court (SC) for life time disqualification of its dissident law makers.
A petition was filed in SC Thursday by advocate Babar Awan on behalf of PTI chairman Imran Khan seeking life time disqualification of PTI dissident members of National Assembly.
Election commission, speaker National Assembly, secretary law and secretary cabinet have been made respondents in the petition.
PTI has taken plea in the petition any member who wants to leave party should resign from assembly seat first of all. The party members who become dissident don’t remain Sadiq and Amin. Vote which is cast by the dissidents should not be counted. It should be considered disputed .
The court has been prayed to disqualify the dissident members for life time.
