ISLAMABAD
Federal minister of climate change Sherry Rehman said on Saturday the situation is becoming better and hopefully, in 2023, we will come out of all crises created by previous government.
Our pray is this New Year would be the year of stability, development, prosperity and happiness for our nation.
While congratulating the nation on New Year she said 2022 was difficult year for Pakistan. Pakistan was the centre of historical flood and worst effects of climate change. Raining and canal flooding affected one fourth of country and 303 million people.
She said more than 1700 people died and heavily damaged houses, roads and other basic infrastructure. Devastation caused by climate crises has no example in recent history.
Million of sisters and brothers are still homeless in winter. In New Year message she appealed people to help people for their rehabilitation. Complete rehabilitation of flood afftectees is our shared responsibility.
She further said that as soon as we came to power we have to make difficult decisions to save country from default.
We should be hopeful for year of 2023, she added.
