Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan has said that days of the incumbent government were numbered as his movement for “real freedom” has entered into the final phase.
“I will take out the entire nation to take a stand on the country ‘sovereignty and restore real freedom in the country. Hopefully it would be the last march which would send the incumbent government packing,” he claimed.
PTI chairman on Tuesday addressed three conventions including the conventions of Ulama, trade body convention and Real Azadi Convention during his one-day visit to Peshawar.
He asked the people to get themselves ready for his final call to Islamabad as he said his movement has now entered into the final and decisive phase.
“We want equal law, same for everyone, there would be no discrimination in law for powerful and weak in the country,” Imran Khan added and said that time has come to make Pakistan stand on its own feet and where the law is equal for all.
Former prime minister appealed to all sections of the society to come forward and join his struggle for real freedom and help him to oust the ‘ imported government’ from power.
Addressing the Ulema Convention, Imran Khan underscored the importance of a welfare state, adding that the PTI struggled to establish a Madina model state in the country and wanted to see the country an Islamic welfare state in the true sense, every section of the society will have to play its role.
Imran Khan said that a system based on justice is needed to get Pakistan out of the quagmire of problems.
He expressed surprise that a ‘fugitive’ was allowed to come and manage the economy of the country.
“Today a fugitive has been given the portfolio of Pakistan’s economy, which is like giving a cat the responsibility of protecting milk,” he added.
I was not ready to act like a subservient therefore, I was removed as prime minister Khan maintained that the PTI government has been punished for creating space for national development and attempted to lead the country on the path of development as a free nation.
Later, while addressing the real freedom convention organized by Insaf Students Federation (ISF) and Insaf Youth Wing in Hayatabad, Imran Khan said that the youth are the future of this nation.
He said that they will take out the whole nation for real freedom and hope that this will be the last march after which the imported rulers will have to go home and PTI will come back to power through fair and transparent elections.
He warned the government to hold the early and transparent elections in the country and let the change through power of vote.
“We will come out for freedom with a complete plan and all plans made by the incumbent government and its interior minister will dash to land and would not work to keep its government surviving.
Mr Khan accused the incumbent federal government of working to safeguard their vested interests and oblivion to problems being faced by inflation-hit people.
Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders were not concerned with solving the problems of the common man, Khan added.
Speaking at the businessmen’s convention in Nishtarhal, Imran Khan mentioned his tenure in the federal government and said that after 17 years, the country’s economy was developing rapidly, in the last year of our government, the economic growth had reached 6 percent while substantial growth was also seen in remittances and exports.
“Thanks to the reforms in the FBR, we have collected a record tax of more than six thousand billion,” he claimed.
Mr Khan stated that despite the high price of petroleum products in the international market, petrol was available at 150 rupees per liter, while now the prices of petroleum products are low in the international market and high in Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that 20 percent of the industries in Faisalabad have been closed and 50 percent of mobile and vehicle factories have closed.
India and Bangladesh were behind us in development before the 90s, but when Nawaz Sharif and the Zardari family came to power, these two countries surpassed us in development.
PTI chairman maintained that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government was making all out efforts to solve the problems of the business community in the province on priority basis.
