The Vice Chancellor of Women University Swabi, Professor Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen, in her message on Independence Day, said that August 14 is the day in our national history when, as a result of sacrifice, perseverance, and unity, we were blessed with a free homeland in the form of Pakistan.
She said that this day is not only a celebration but also a day of gratitude and renewal of our pledge. Freedom, she added, is a great blessing, and its protection and stability require every generation to fulfill its responsibility.
In connection with Independence Day, a grand ceremony titled “Jashn-e-Azadi – Marka-e-Haq” was organized at the university, in which students participated with great enthusiasm.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem. This was followed by soulful national songs, an energetic debate competition, and an Arts & Design painting exhibition through which students expressed their deep love for the homeland.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, certificates were awarded to students for outstanding performance. The flag-hoisting and cake-cutting ceremonies made the celebration even more memorable.
On this occasion, Professor Dr. Ghazala Yasmeen reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continue equipping its students with quality education, modern skills, and patriotic spirit so they can play a vital role in turning the dream of a prosperous and bright Pakistan into reality.
