Industrialists praised the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Akhtar Hayat Gandapur for issuance of a notification for establishment of a police station at Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar, which, according to them, was a long-standing demand.
According to a statement issued here on Thursday, by president of Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP), in which he lauded the IGP KP Akhtar Hayat Gandapur for issuance of a notification to establish a police station and steps to ensure safety and security in the estate.
The president in the statement said industrialists held a meeting with IGP KP Akhtar Hayat Gandapur in which the provincial police chief promised that prompt steps would be taken to establish a police station.
IAP chief said IGP has issued a formal notification two days ago regarding establishment of a police station in Industrial Estate Hayatabad Peshawar by following his commitment, which is highly appreciable.
The association president elaborated in his statement that the matter relating to setting up of a police station was taken up with government, police department and relevant authorities several occasions since last a decade.
But, he said the incumbent provincial police chief in first meeting with industrialists made a promise to take steps on a fast-track basis for establishment of a police station.
He said the police chief has ensured practical implementation of his commitment, which was highly commendable.
According to the statement, the IAP chief said during their meeting with IGP KP, the provincial police chief said that the business community was the backbone for the national economy, and it is highly important to ensure their safety and security.
Praising the issuance of notification for setting up a dedicated police station, the IAP president said industrialists had never seen such an IGP in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which ensured implementation of his promise in a few days.

We highly proud that there was appointed such a committed provincial police chief and business community expressed a complete satisfaction about performance of police chief and department, the statement concluded.
