Industrialization to be accelerated with consultation of stakeholders: Mian Aslam

Punjab Minister for Industry & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that process of industrialization will be accelerated with the consultation of industrialists and traders. He said that the national resources can also be increased by promoting industries, problems of poverty and unemployment can also be overcome by promoting industries.
The Provincial Minister stated this during his visit to Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) and speaking to President and office-bearers of Lahore Chamber on Wednesday. During the meeting, problems faced by industrialists, steps taken for ease of doing business, budget for current financial year and policies to promote industries were discussed.
He said that the incumbent government has implemented a comprehensive and effective strategy to promote industry. He said, “The industrialists and traders will be facilitated by making the tax system easier. Inspector system in the institutions is the main cause of corruption. Some people are responsible for the defective system and the whole nation has to face the consequences of it.”
Mian Aslam said that we will improve the tax collection system through effective reforms. He said that steps are being taken for improving tax system and clubbing all the taxes. Inspection-less regime is also being introduced, after the implementation of this system no one can disturb the industrialists on the name of inspection, he added.
The Provincial Minister said that artificial price-hike will not be tolerated and illegal profiteers will be dealt with iron hand.
Speaking on the occasion, President Lahore Chamber Almas Haider has said that every Pakistan should play his national duty by paying tax. He said that industrialists and traders will cooperate with the government for bringing the country out of the economic crisis and strengthening the economy. He also apprised the Minister of the problems being faced by the industrialists.
