Irfanullah and Tajmeena won the ongoing Haji Malik Umar Khattab Khalil Memorial Wheelchair Tennis Championship in Peshawar.Eight male and eight female players participated in the Men’s Singles and Women’s Singles events at Peshawar Sports Complex.
Chairman of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tennis Association Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir was the chief guest of the event. Umar Ayaz Khalil, Sajjad Mohammad Khan, Haji Khan, Arshad Hussain Khalil, and Haji Rehmat Gul and coaches Roman, Shehryar, Nauman, Zakir, Jawad were also present on this occasion.
In the men’s singles final, Engineer Irfanullah defeated Ahsan Danish 6-3, 6-3. In the ladies’ singles final, Tajmina won against Gulnaz 6–2, 6–2. Trophies and certificates were also distributed among the wheelchair tennis players with a total prize money of Rs.15000.
