Islamabad police release JUI-F members’ parliament & workers

The Islamabad police on Friday released JUI-F members National Assembly and many workers.
The police had taken into custody during the operation at Parliament lodges on Thursday night.
Police sources said on Friday that all the detained politicians and workers have been released on personnel assurance and fulfillment of all legal requirements.
According to details, two MNAs named Maulana Jamaluddin and Salahuddin Ayubi and many political workers of the JUI-F were arrested by the police during clearance operation at the Parliament lodges.
Earlier, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazul Rehman had called for a countrywide protest and blockage of highways if his members’ parliaments and political workers were not released by the government.
Following the arrests, JUI-F workers and political parties’ alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged the demonstrations in Quetta, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and other cities.
The JUI-F spokesperson confirmed the release of party workers and thanked opposition leaders and workers for their extending support.
