Islamabad police taking steps to provide better policing services to the citizens: IGP

Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Ahsan Younas said that Islamabad police is taking every possible step to provide better policing services to its citizens.
While listening public complaints, he said that the purpose of holding khuli kacheries on daily bases is to resolve public issues on merit and priority.
During the khuli kacheri, the IGP also directed all zonal police officers to remain present in their offices to listen and resolve public grievances
Muhammad Ahsan Younas issued explicit directions not to leave any stone unturned in eradication of drugs, liquor and exclusively crackdown against gambling dens. He reiterated resolve of Islamabad Police to go all out against the land grabber without any fear or favor.
He also directed to arrest the nominated accused involved in different cases and recover the looted items.
Islamabad police chief said that it is our prime responsibility to provide protection to the lives and property of the citizens and resolve their problems on priority. He said that citizens at `Open Court’ should be behaved in a respectful manner and their trust on police department to be won through resolving their issues.
The Such interaction with citizens are aimed to promote community policing, resolve the issues of people at their door steps through merit and curb activities of anti-social elements, he added.
