Jalil Abbas Jilani meets with Mashal Hussain Malik

Special Assistant Mashal Hussain Malik has met with caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani regarding human rights and women empowerment. On this occasion, discussions were held regarding increasing cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Human Rights and highlighting Pakistan’s position at the international level, including the United Nations General Assembly.
According to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister also considered the arrests of thousands of political activists, journalists and human rights defenders in the illegal Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir. They expressed concern over the recent appeal by the Indian authorities for the death sentence of one of the most prominent Kashmiri leaders, Yasin Malik, who was sentenced to life imprisonment last year.
They emphasized on the urgent need for the release of political prisoners in (IIOJK) Indian illegal-occupied Jammu and Kashmir and said that the Indian authorities are committing serious violations of human rights in the valley, including the illegal and Individual measures are also included.
They emphasized the need to implement the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council in Jammu and Kashmir and said that India is depriving the Kashmiri people of their right to self-determination in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
