The Azadi Sports Gala organized by the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa started in a grand ceremony at the Hayatabad Sports Complex in Peshawar, which includes ten different competitions for men and women, on the opening day cricket, football, squash, table tennis, gymnastics and Badminton competitions were officially opened by Administrator Hayatabad Sports Complex.
International Qualified Coach Shah Faisal accompanied by Senior Football Coach, Abdul Shakoor, General Secretary of Provincial Jujitsu Association Tahsinullah, Naeem Jan, Squash Coach Shakeel, Table Coach Ibrahim. Cricket Coach Mohammad Irfan, Karate Coach Jamal and other important personalities were present.
The celebration of Independence Day started in Hayatabad Sports Complex organized by Directorate General of Sports and Directorate of Youth Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in which culture night was held in addition to various sports competitions.
And the fireworks show is also included, in the opening day squash competitions, Muhammad Irfan defeated Muhammad Moaz by eleven five, eleven seven, in the second match, Saad Fayyaz defeated Arsalan Afridi by eleven six and eleven nine, Hamid Afridi defeated Abu Bakr by 11 zero, 11 five while Muhammad Alian defeated Abdul Rehman by 11 nine and 15 and qualified for the next round, competitions were held in three different categories of football.
In the junior category, Hayatabad Green team defeated Peshawar Red. In the senior category, Hayatabad Warriors beat Jamrud Tigers by three to two. In table tennis women’s competitions, Mehwish Hayat beat Benish by three to zero, Satara Gul beat Faryal by three to two, Fatima beat Manahel by three to two. defeated Peshawar Red by seven wickets in the opening match of cricket, Hayatabad Cricket Academy defeated Peshawar Red by seven wickets, while talking to the media on this occasion, Administrator Shah Faisal said that like every year this year also On the special instructions of G Sports Captain (retd) Khalid Mehmood, the Independence Celebration Sports Gala is being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and the Directorate of Youth Affairs, in which table tennis, badminton, football, cricket, taekwondo, gymnastics, ju-jitsu, Squash and International Taekwondo competitions will be organized in which national and international players from Allavi Hayatabad Sports Complex will participate fully, Azadi Sports Gala will continue till August 14, while on August 13, there will be a culture night for families and fireworks.
