PESHAWAR: Jamat-i-Islami (JI) held a protest demonstration here on Wednesday in the provincial capital against the long-hours of load shedding and unprecedented inflation. Hundreds of JI workers and Peshawar chapter leaders held a rally against prolonged power suspension and increasing prices of basic food commodities. Addressing the participants of the protest JI, Atiq-ur-Rehman, Bahrullah Khan Advocate, Hafiz Hashmat, Khalid Gul Mohmand, Nadir Khan and Haji Tahir Zarin Khan, Parliamentary Leader City Council criticized the policies of the provincial and central government. Addressing the gathering, they said that the people were drowning in the battle between the government and the opposition, accusing that all economic and financial policies are being formulated at the behest of the IMF.
