KARACHI (INP): Supreme leader Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq has vowed to fight the case of Sindh in and outside the parliament.
He expressed these views while addressing the culminating session of the two-day historic JI Sindh workers convention, being held at Bag-e-Jinnah in Karachi on Sunday. Tens of thousands of JI workers from across the province participated in the convention.
Sirajul Haq said that Pakistani nation have been looted by last 70 years. He added that man of this era has conquered other planets while people in Pakistan are even deprived of their basic rights and justified opportunities for livelihood.
The JI leader criticized the ruling regime for just following their monitory benefits, instead of pursuing collective goal of Pakistan’s development and prosperity.
He said that JI has been pursuing the agenda of a peaceful, prosperous and Islamic Pakistan. He advised masses to revert back to the way of living being guided by the teachings and principles of Islam. He urged people to read some verses of the Quran Pak on daily basis so as to have guidance directly from the holy book of Quran.
Sirajul Haq said that the JI was not an ordinary political party but an revolutionist movement, struggling for a peaceful Islamic revolution. He talked about social issues of Pakistani society. He urged masses to be connected to the basic teachings of Islam so as to live a peaceful life.
Talking about Karachi, he said that it was a role model city, leading the country in the terms of revenue, academics, industry and intellect. He continued that the incapable leadership of the city and the country has ruined Karachi.
He stressed the need to restore basic facilities in Karachi as well as Sindh so as to initiate a saga of peace, prosperity and development.
The JI leader held corruption in Islamabad, Hyderabad and Karachi responsible for the dismal situation of Sindh. He strongly criticized the provincial government for making shady legislations against the teachings of Islam as well as the constitution of the country.
He expressed his disappointment that the party of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was mulling to breach the constitution, being bestowed by its founder.
Sirajul Haq warned both the federal and the provincial government to mend their ways. He asked ruling Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) to reveal the basis of the offshore assets of its leadership.
He said that the crystal clear probe in Panamagate is the voice of entire Pakistani nation.
Siraj said that the JI is determined to fight for the rights of labourers and other oppressed segments of Sindh. He also advised people to discharge their due responsibilities with honesty.
