Islamabad: A joint session of Parliament was called to elect the new President of the country. According to the details, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has called a joint session of the Parliament for the election of the President. Polling will be held till 10:00 PM. Asif Ali Zardari and Mahmood Khan Achakzai will compete for the slot of president. Former President Asif Ali Zardari has the support of PML-N, PPP and allies. The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) supported the Presidential slot candidate Mehmood Khan Achakzai. Online
