Pakistan was eliminated from the mega event after being defeated by Spain in the quarter finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup.
The Spanish team scored three goals in five minutes to turn the game around.
In the 37th minute of the second half of the game, Spain’s player Paul, Alex in the 38th minute, Pablo in the 41st minute scored a goal to give Spain the lead. In the 43rd minute, Muhammad Sufian Khan of Pakistan scored a goal through a penalty corner.
Captain National Junior Hockey Team Abdul Hanan Shahid scored a goal in the 12th minute to give Pakistan the lead.
Spain’s Paul scored his second goal in the 45th minute to give Spain a 2-4 lead and win the quarter-finals.
Ranked 12th in the world, Pakistan reached the quarter-finals of the Junior Hockey World Cup after a long gap of 14 years.
