Junior U16 Hockey Camp started in Bannu

With the support of Regional Sports Office and District Administration, Junior Under-16 Hockey Coaching Camp after a long time has started in Qazi Mohib Sports Complex Bannu.
A total of 50 who are aged between 12-year-old to 16-year-old from various schools across Bannu Region, will be trained under qualified coaches in the camp. Speaking to the media, national player Shafqatullah said that the training camp will continue for two weeks. Hockey coach Barkat Ullah of Director of Sports and former international player Shafqatullah will train in two different sessions.
He said that the junior players of today are the seniors of tomorrow. “We have to select players on merit to bring back the lost glory of hockey. Shafqatullah said that the Junior Under-16 hockey camp would be a continuing process in order to find out new faces in hockey. The best team for the Bannu region will also be selected which will represent the Bannu region in the Provincial and National Championship,” he added.
