ISLAMABAD: In order to fill five vacant seats of judges in the Supreme Court (SC), Justice Qazi Faez Isa of the SC has demanded that the judicial commission’s meeting be called early to address the issue. Quoting its sources, a private television channel Friday reported that in a letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Isa opined that the appointment of judges on these seats was must if the apex court was to reduce the backlog of cases and provide justice to litigants.
