ISLAMABAD: Hearing of the review petitions filed against the Supreme Court (SC) decision in Justice Qazi Faez Isa case has been adjourned till the first week of November.
A 7-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Umar Ata Bandial took up the review petitions for hearing on Wednesday.
During the hearing of the case advocate on record Qasim Mir told the court the lawyers of the petitioners could not appear. As per directives of the petitioners the court is requested to adjourn the hearing of the case for two weeks.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial remarked “we wanted to hear the case before the retirement of Justice Faisal Arab. The lawyers of the petitioners have sought the time for two weeks.
The court put off the hearing of the case till the first week of November.
It is to mention that Justice Qazi Faez Isa, his spouse, lawyers organizations and PFUJ have filed review petitions in SC.
