Islamabad: Meeting of the ETEA committee regarding the mobile phones seized in the ETEA tests was held under the chairmanship of the caretaker provincial Minister for Prisons, Justice retired Irshad Qaiser all the relevant officials including Executive Director ETEA Imtiaz Ayub participated in the meeting. In the meeting, the participants were briefed on the background of the committee and were told that mobile phones are used as a tool in various types of examinations. ETEA has taken various measures to prevent the use of mobile phones during the tests. According to ETEA Standard Operating Procedure, the said test has been canceled and the accused candidate were also blacklisted for two years for using the mobile phone in the test. While a letter has also been sent to the concerned police station for registering an FIR. During said tests ETEA has recovered 366 mobile phones. In the meeting of the Board of Governors of ETEA for the return of these mobile phones, ETEA was directed to present proposals regarding these mobile phones. ETEA presented five proposals to the Board in the last meeting of the Board of Governors. The Board formed a committee to review these proposals which will present its recommendations in this regard in the next meeting of the Board. In the light of the instructions, the committee review Five proposals submitted by ETEA and after detailed discussion, the Committee unanimously approved the recommendations.
