Supreme Court Justice Sardar Tariq Masood has taken oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). Senior Judge Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan administered the oath to Acting Chief Justice Sardar Tariq Masood. Supreme Court and Lahore High Court judges participated in oath taking ceremony.
It is pertinent to say that President Dr. Arif Alvi approved the appointment of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). Ministry of Law has issued notification of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
President approved the appointment of Justice Sardar Tariq Masood as Acting Chief Justice under Article 180 of the Constitution.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa went abroad during winter vacation. Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s visit will last 14 days. In his position, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood will take charge for two weeks.
