27th October is marked as the darkest /Blackest day in the history not only by Kashimris, Pakistani but also by all human rights organizations here, there and everywhere.
It was on this day, back in 1974, India illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir against the wishes of the people of Kashmiris. one can sell land but not the people living on that land, but the Hindu Maharaja had sold the people of the valley of Jammu & Kashmir & the international community paid no heed and remained silent spectators.
There is not end to the atrocities incurred to the people of Kashmir by Indian forces. Thousands of Kashmiris laid their lives down for the sake of self determination. On August 5th 2019, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi changed the special status of the valley through unilateral illegal act, sent an additional 180,000 Indian troops raising the strength of occupying forces to more than 9 lacs and put the whole valley under indefinite curfew, which remains enforce for some period of time.
But the Kashmiris continue to be strong determined, committed and continue to offer sacrifices by way of violations in curfew restrictions.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has adopted a courageous stance over the Kashmiri issue by addressing to United Nation General Assembly on various occasions and he emphatically retreated Pakistan’s principled stand to continue supporting the just struggle of Kashmiris and warned the international community by terming Kashmir a nuclear flash point b/w the two neighbouring countries.
The Prime Minister’s speech had echoed Kashmir Issue in the UN several times. Recently, Pakistan’s first visually impaired UN delegate Saima Saleem highlighted the atrocities of
Indian troops in Kashmiris in her fiery speech in response to an Indian diplomats allegations against Pakistan. Her courageous stance in favor of Kashmir in (UNGA) was appreciated and sparked widespread applause across the nation.
It is also a matter of great shame and regret that the international community are criminally silent over India’s continued occupation and killing of more & more Kashmiris whose only crime is that they do not accept India’s illegal occupation which is against their aspirations and they want freedom by exercising the right of self determination in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council adopted more than seven decades ago.
People are raising voices in favour of animal’s rights protection but majority of people/human rights activists are not raising voices for human beings of Kashmir which depicts very sad and pity picture on part of whole world.
