ISLAMABAD : Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Kashmir issue will be resolved as per aspirations of people of Kashmir.

Modi has acknowledged in previous day sitting that Kashmiris are annoyed over August 5 steps. Kashmiris want restoration of their basic identity and democracy. The situation cannot be improved in held Kashmir till withdrawal of August 5 steps. Our nuclear program is for our defence and no change is being made in it”, he said this while addressing a press conference here in foreing office Friday.

He went on to say Hurriyat leaders were not invited by India in previous day sitting. Hurriyat leaders had a clear stance that the meeting was a drama and nothing came out of it. Kashmir issue should be addressed as per UN resolutions.

Modi invited some selective people in the meeting therefore, questions were raised on his personality.

Indian prestige has been adversely affected in the comity of nations due to the reign of terror it has unleashed in Occupied Kashmir since the last two years, he remarked. August 5 steps by India have been challenged in Supreme court.

He observed no solid reply was given to Kashmiri political leadership in respect of their demands. The human rights have been suppressed in Occupied Kashmir. Hurriyat leadership always talks of right to self determination. Kashmir tourism has been devastated.

He held people of Kashmir want they should be paid compensation in respect of financial loss they had to suffer during the last two years.

The extra judicial killing is continuing in held Kashmir. The Kashmiri leadership demanded in the meeting that extra judicial killings be stopped in Occupied Kashmir. They also demanded for release of political prisoners.

About Afghanistan issue he said nothing is in his knowledge about UN forces deployment program in Afghanistan. However it is premature to say any thing about assuming security responsibilities of Kabul airport by Turkish forces.

No change will come in Pakistan nuclear policy. Our nuclear program is for our defence, he declared.

Kashmir demography issue has been raised on every platform, he added.
