Pakistan Science Foundation(PSF) is the apex body for the promotion and funding of scientific and technological research and science popularization in the country. PSF provides support to universities for research & development, science Popularization and Industrial linkages. Vice chancellor of Khwaja Fareed University of Engineering and Information Technology Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir paid a visit to chairman Pakistan Science Foundation Prof. Dr. Shahid Mahmood Baig (S. I.) on 10th of February 2021. He briefed him about the improvements in research and development in KFUEIT.
The discussions were about scientific projects, cooperation and collaboration in the development of engineering and IT products. Soon the chairman PSF will visit KFUEIT campus Rahim Yar Khan. It is mutually decided that KFUEIT and PSF will arrange a Science Mela for the exhibition of scientific projects. It is hoped that the science mela would be a good opportunity for students of KFUEIT to showcase their scientific skills and they will get benefit from this collaboration in terms of research grants, scholarships and placement in the industry.
Vice chancellor KFUEIT also met with honourable Federal minister for education Mr. Shafqat Mahmood on 11th February 2021. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Suleman Tahir also briefed the minister about the recent developments in KFUEIT. He discussed the current status of KFUEIT, future projects, improvement in the quality of education and innovation in research. The feadral minister appreciated the dedicated efforts of vice chancellor and his team. He said that KFUEIT is the future of the south Punjab region and he will sincerely try for approval of the base grants for KFUEIT.
