Askari tower case
LAHORE
Khadija Shah has challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC) granting of her physical remand again in Askari tower case. Sameer Khosa advocate filed petition on behalf of Khadija Shah.
The petitioner took the plea in the petition police had refused to get physical remand further on July 28 in Askari Tower attack case. However police got physical remand again under new clauses. First time police itself requested for judicial remand of Khadija Shah after physical remand. Getting physical remand again is against the facts.
Court has been requested to nullify the order of granting physical remand of Khadija Shah again.
It is pertinent to mention here that Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) had handed over Dr Yasmin Rashid, Khadija Shah, former governor Punjab Umar Cheema and others to police on physical remand in Jinnah House attack , Gherao Jalao and Askari tower attack cases.
Police presented all the accused in court on completion of their physical remand.
The police requested the court to grant physical remand of accused persons for further investigation because of inclusion of other clauses in the FIR. The court while accepting police plea handed over Yasmin Rashid to police for five days.
Former governor Punjab Umar Cheema, Khadija Shah and other accused were handed over to Police on 5-day physical remand.
