Reaffirmation of Resolve: “Kashmir Will Become Pakistan”
LAHORE (Special Report): Renowned social and political leader and President of the Global Alliance for Kashmir, Khawaja Muhammad Ayub, hosted a lavish dinner in honor of the office-bearers of Leaders Media Network (LMN) in Gawalmandi, Lahore.
A special gathering titled “Kashmir Will Become Pakistan” was also held on the occasion, attended by political and social figures, senior journalists and people from various walks of life.
Addressing the gathering, Khawaja Muhammad Ayub said that highlighting the Kashmir issue at the international level was the need of the hour. The international community should take notice of the difficulties faced by the people of occupied Kashmir, including arrests, restrictions on civil liberties and concerns regarding human rights. He said support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for the right to self-determination would continue.
Founder President of Leaders Media Network, Usman Ghani, said that the fundamental purpose of journalism was to highlight the voice of oppressed and deprived segments of society. He said that Leaders Media Network would continue to highlight the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and their fundamental rights.
Former MPA Dr. Saeed Elahi said that the Kashmir issue was fundamentally a matter of the rights, freedom and self-determination of the Kashmiri people.
Former Mayor of Lahore Khawaja Riaz Mahmood said that the people of Pakistan stood firmly with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
Former MPA Dr. Farzana Nazir said that the international community should raise an effective voice for the protection of the fundamental rights of civilians, particularly women and children.
Vice President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Azad Kashmir, Lahore Division, Abrar Qureshi, said that it was the responsibility of the media to convey the voice of the Kashmiri people to the world and highlight the situation in occupied Kashmir.
Vice President Sheikh Masroor Rafi said that the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people would not go in vain.
General Secretary Syed Musawwar Ali Zanjani said that the Kashmir issue was not merely an issue concerning Kashmiris but also a matter of human rights and justice.
Additional General Secretary Ejaz Ahmed Ejaz said that highlighting the struggle of the Kashmiri people before the world was both a national and journalistic responsibility.
Information Secretary Ali Kamran Dhillon said that Leaders Media Network would continue to highlight the Kashmir cause through positive and responsible journalism.
Secretary Women Wing Saman Urooj said that the international community should pay special attention to the rights and difficulties faced by Kashmiri women.
Secretary Lahore Wing Ali Irfan Javed said that the journalistic and social circles of Lahore fully expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
The speakers expressed concern over the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, arrests, restrictions on civil liberties and concerns regarding freedom of expression. They urged the international community to take notice of the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and play an effective role in protecting the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri people.
The gathering was also attended by Syed Ali Imran, Founder President of Ghar Foundation, Iqbal Payam, President of Bazm-e-Parnam International, along with other journalists and social figures.
The participants expressed complete solidarity with the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed their resolve that “Kashmir Will Become Pakistan.”
The event concluded with a special prayer for the freedom and safety of the Kashmiri people and the progress, prosperity and well-being of Pakistan. A dinner was subsequently served to all distinguished guests.
