Thrashing and misbehave of two media persons by the police officials of Bara was condemned and asked the police highup to take departmental action against them.
It is to be mentioned here that last day the police personnel thrashed and misbehaved two members of Bara press club identified as Jahanzeb and Shahid Afridi who were conducting local bodies’ election in Bara.
Media persons separately carried out protest demonstrations in Bara and Landi Kotal that were attended by scores of local media persons.
The protestors were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the bad misbehavior of police officials and chanted full-throat slogans against them.
Speaking on the occasion officer bearers of Bara and Landi Kotal press clubs said that the two mentioned media persons were executing their professional duties when they were beaten by the and insulted by the police officials in Bara that was equllent to impose restriction on media.
They asked the Inspector General Police, Khyber Pakhtukhwa ,Senior Superintendent Police and District Police Officer to take immediate notice of the incident and bring to book those police officers of Bara police station found guilty.
