Khyber Political Alliance seeks solution of problems in Landi Kotal

The government should relax restrictions at Torkham border and provide job opportunities to the locals at border so that they can earn time meals for their families. The authorities suppose to grant permission to Non-Custom Paid (NCP) vehicles to move across the district and end unscheduled and prolonged load shedding that has made life of the residents miserable.
These views were expressed by the political elites, head of welfare organizations, chiefs of Paramedical Association, labor union and Anjuman-e-Tajeran in grand Qaumi Jirga,organized under the auspice of Khyber political alliance here at railway station ground,Landi Kotal on Sunday evening.
Speakers including President and General Sectary of Khyber Sayasi Ittehad Mufti Ijaz and Murad Hussian Afridi,district chief of Qaumi Watan Party(QWP)Ali Rehman,local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI)Abdurraziq,chief of tanzeem-e-Nujawanan-e-Qabail Israr Shinwari,Saida Jan Afridi of Awami National Party(ANP)district elite of Pakistan People Party(PPP)Hazrat Wali Afridi,President Khyber Paramedical Association Mujiburehman Afridi,President Anjuman-e-Tajeran Landi Kotal Bazaar Haji Jafar,social worker Akhtar Ali Shinwari,Farman Shinwari and others expressed their deep concern over the negligence approach of the government and said the authorities have turned deaf ear towards their problems.
They said that Torkham border has remained a trading hub and guaranteed job opportunities to the locals however unnecessary restrictions, decreased export from 04 billion dollars to 900 million dollars beside the locals were deprived of earning of bread for their children that need to be revised.
As the ex-tribal region had been ignored for the last seven decades therefore pro-tribesmen policies should implemented following merging they aid and added like Malakand and Gilgit-Baltistan design NCP vehicles ought to be allowed to move across district Khyber.
The speakers also condemned the prolonged load shedding in the area and asked the TESCO to make possible maximum flow of power to all localities of Landi Kotal in addition with halting of target killing incidents in the district.
Member Provincial Assembly from the constituency Shafiq Sher Afridi assured the audience that he will utilize every forum to address their grievances.
The participants unanimously passed five resolutions pertaining to the problems and threatened that if their problems were not addressed forthwith, they would boycott the survey carried out in connection with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
