Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Team beat Team Eighteen by 64 runs in first match of the three-match series between Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Team and Team Eighteen Islamabad played in Miusam Cricket Ground, Faisal Town Islamabad .
Batting first, KP Assembly, led by Saifullah Khan, scored 198 runs for 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Samiullah top scored with 36 while Ayaz and Saifullah Khan scored 29, 28 and Khwaja Sikandar 28 runs respectively. Ashiq Ali was the best bowler from Team Eighteen Islamabad and got three wickets while Sarmad got 2 wickets.
In reply, Team Eighteen, led by Qarnain Hassan, managed to score only 134 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Ashiq Ali scored 33 runs while Haaris Saeed scored 28 runs. Shah Zaman from KP Assembly ripped through the top order of Team Eighteen and got 3 wickets for only 8 runs while Ibrar Bacha, Adil Jan got 2 wickets each, Adil Mehmood and Umer Farooq got 1 wicket each.
The second match of the three-match series will be played in Peshawar during the next weekend.
