A ceremony was held at Peshawar Sports Complex to honour Khyber Pakhtunkhwa athletes who excelled at the 35th National Games in Karachi.
Special guest Taj Muhammad Khan Tarnd praised the athletes, saying they brought glory to the province with their exceptional performance despite limited resources.
He announced cash rewards of Rs 600,000 for gold medalists, Rs 400,000 for silver medalists, and Rs 200,000 for bronze medalists. Tarnd stated that KP athletes have immense talent and can defeat others with their skills. He added that the provincial government will ensure sports facilities in all districts and organize events like ice hockey and under-21 games.
