The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has approved the dismissal of two members of the Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Appellate Tribunal due to their internal disputes and inappropriate behavior.
Official sources on Thursday informed, the decision was made on the recommendation of Tribunal Chairman, Justice (Retired) Abdul Shakoor. The Chairman suggested action against the two members after an incident involving heated arguments and the use of inappropriate language during a tribunal hearing.
The incident occurred between members Tariq Mansoor and Abdul Ghafoor Qureshi during the hearing of a case. Following the dispute, Tariq Mansoor submitted his resignation to the Secretary of Health, which was formally accepted.
The cabinet has officially approved the removal of both members and issued a formal notification, which has also been confirmed by the Health Department.
