KP caretaker finance minister briefed on revenue targets

Caretaker Provincial Minister for Finance, Revenue and Excise Ahmed Rasool Bangash has said that all practical steps should be taken to maximize revenue targets in the province, saying adequate revenue collection is mandatory for provincial development and prosperity.
He expressed these views here on Monday while presiding over the review meeting on the achievements and targets of recovery of all provincial departments in the Civil Secretariat Finance Committee Room.
He issued instructions to all departments to ensure their targets for the financial year 2023-24 and said that the economic stability of the province linked to revenue targets.
Special Secretary Finance Abid Kakakhil, Additional Secretary Finance Asif Rasheed, and representatives of all departments and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
The meeting was given a detailed briefing by all the departments about their achieved goals and the recovery achieved so far, while all the departments also gave a special briefing about their respective recovery and the steps taken to achieve the goals.
In his address to the meeting, the caretaker minister has said that the achieved goals should be ensured for the economic stability and development of the province.
The development of the province is possible only through the recovery of provincial achievements and goals.
He said that all the officers should step up their efforts to ensure the recovery of their respective departments and achieve recovery and given targets under an integrated strategy.
He said that it is very important to achieve the goals for the prosperity and well-being of the people, the best health facilities, education and other relief activities.
The provincial government is taking concrete steps for the development of the province and provision of basic facilities to the people and improvement of infrastructure, he added.
