Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Monday strongly condemned the explosion targeting a police armoured vehicle in Tank and sought a detailed report on the incident from the Inspector General of Police.
In a statement issued from CM’s Secretariat , the chief minister paid tribute to the police personnel who embraced martyrdom in the blast and expressed heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families. He also directed the authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured personnel and wished them a speedy recovery.
“We equally share the grief of the affected families, and the government will not leave them alone in this difficult time,” the chief minister said.
Reaffirming the government’s resolve to maintain peace, Sohail Afridi said action against elements attempting to disrupt law and order would be further intensified.
“The cowardly attacks of terrorists cannot undermine the morale of our police force or the people of KP,” he said, adding that the establishment of lasting peace remains the government’s top priority and that the sacrifices of the police force would not be allowed to go in vain.
