The Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, on Friday strongly condemned a terrorist attack on security forces in Bajaur district and expressed grief over the deaths of personnel killed in the incident.
Paying tribute to the martyred soldiers, Jan described the attack as “heinous and deplorable,” saying the entire nation stood united against terrorism. He said the sacrifices of the security forces were a source of pride for the country and that the martyrs would be remembered with honour.
“The blood of the martyrs will not go in vain,” he said, praying for the elevation of their ranks and extending condolences to the bereaved families. He added that the provincial government stood firmly with the families in their time of grief.
Jan also condemned drone strikes reported in Bannu and Khyber districts, which he said had injured innocent civilians, including a woman. Calling the incidents “deeply regrettable,” he noted that the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the security forces had made immense sacrifices in the war against terrorism.
He said the injured were receiving the best possible medical care and assured that the provincial government would extend all possible support to the affected families. Jan also prayed for the swift recovery of those wounded.
