Director General (Heath Services) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Shaukat Ali has dismissed corruption allegations against him, saying the allegations are “baseless” and “fabricated.”
The DG (health services) in a statement clarified that he did not have the authority to acquire land for Timergara Medical College and did not use any such authority.
He also stated that the acquisition of land for the college was the responsibility of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and the senior member board of revenue and that the entire process was carried out in accordance with the law. Dr Shaukat emphasized the importance of merit and transparency in all matters related to Timergara Medical College.
He stated that all inquiries into the college had been completed, and that no irregularities had been found.
DG also criticized the “commission mafia,” stating that the final list of MCC had been finalized in accordance with the principles laid down by the KP Public Procurement Authority (KPPRA). He urged suppliers to raise their standards instead of criticizing.
The provincial government would not compromise on the health of the people or on merit and quality, he said.
and added that those who were spreading such news were enemies of the people and of merit.
