KP Finance approves release of Rs 28.31bln funds under 3rd ADP quarterly payment

The Finance Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the directives of the Minister for Finance Friday approved release of 25percent funds for 3rd quarter of Annual Development Program (ADP).
The finance department in a notification said that Rs 28.31billion has been approved for the release that includes Rs 2943 million (m) for Elementary and Secondary Education, 3515m for Health, 1301m for agriculture, 1802m for higher education, 970m for drinking water and sanitation, 555m for forest, 2282m for poverty eradication.
Similarly, 3180 released for multi sectoral development, 3868, for construction and rehabilitation of roads and 2192m for water supply projects.
It said that Rs 5.5billion (b) grant was approved for 25 medical teaching institutions, Rs 1.26b for Lady Reading Hospital, Rs 590m for Hayatabad medical complex, one billion for Khyber Teaching Hospital, Rs 28.6m for Ayub Medical College, Rs 50m for Ayub Teaching Hospital, Rs1.29b for Post Graduate Medical Institute Hayatabad, Rs 130m for Institute of Kidneys and Rs480m for Peshawar Institute of Cardiology.
Speaking on the occasion the provincial Minister Taimur Salim said that in order to ensure timely completion of development projects the provincial government has early released the funds, adding that the 3rd quarterly payment for ADP would be released by next month.
