The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fisheries department has generated a record Rs571 million through its digital e-auction system, marking a significant step towards greater transparency, improved governance and more efficient management of public resources, according to an official statement.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on livestock and fisheries Mohammad Khurshid Khattak has congratulated the department’s officers and staff on the record bid, saying the provincial government remained committed to promoting the use of modern technology, transparency and merit across all sectors.
He said digital reforms would not only increase government revenue but also strengthen public confidence in state institutions.
The special assistant described the achievement as the result of the collective efforts of the fisheries department, adding that the introduction of the e-auction system had created new opportunities for transparent governance and enhanced revenue generation.
He said the department would continue pursuing digital reforms to strengthen the fisheries sector, improve its efficiency and make public services more responsive.
Mr Khattak said the initiative would serve as an important milestone in promoting transparent auctions, good governance and higher public revenue, while contributing to the sustainable development of the fisheries sector.
